You Are Perfect.

Just about everywhere I look, it tells you the same thing: "You are not rich/thin/clever/happy enough. You need to change. Here's how..." Pathetic. I don't always feel this way. But after 27 years of actively taking advice from people who have totally no clue about you, I couldn't help myself but started to think one would be better off without all these 'there-is-something-wrong-about-you' crap. There's nothing wrong about me, or you. Here's more:
  • Like Henry David Thoreau, you are born into the most estimable place in all the world, and in the very nick of time, too.
  • You don't need to gain or lose weight. You looked just perfect.
  • You are already wealthy enough. The richest person in the world would trade everything in exchange for 1 day of your life.
  • You have no reason not to be happy. Just look around you. Look inside you too.
  • You are changing every minute, every second, and you don't need someone to tell you what to change (because yourself knows best).
  • You have already read the very last self-help book you never need.
You are perfect, just the way you are.

Blogger's Block?

It's been more than a month since I started this blog. I have no trouble writing at all. But somehow, I find it difficult, if not near impossible, to click on the 'Publish' button. In the end, no single post were published for the past month. Argh.

How to deal with it

I would say - do it anyway (just click the god damn button!). And admit the fact that I don't always have to blog about something interesting, intelligent or world-changing; that I'm not Seth Godin or anyone listed in my 'influences' list below; that it is okay (and probably fun) to just blog for fun. Finally, I would leave this post with a quote from the movie my wife loves dearly - Sydney White

"My blog is not about being read but about being written!"
- Gurkin

If you haven't blog for a long time, hope you start soon. I already have. :)
